John Raymond is an educational technology professional who
provides training and evaluations to K-12 schools. He works with
districts, teacher centers, school associations and individual schools
in New York, Connecticut and elsewhere. John is director of TIELab
(Technology-in-Education Laboratory), an organization that develops
uses of technology that are grounded in sound pedagogical principles.
He is a member of the Connecticut Association of Independent Schools
Commission on Technology and directs the "Teaching with Technology"
program of the CAIS Summer Technology Conference, held each June.
John publishes an online educational technology journal (newcurriculum.com)
where he writes a monthly column. Before entering the field of educational
technology, John taught history and philosophy at the high school
level. John holds a MA in American Studies from Columbia University,
a BA in History from the University of Puget Sound and was a Klingenstein
